Hello, I am Blendi and I was born in Tirana in 1991.
Graduated in finance, I progressively became interested in photography as a mean of self-expression. Initially, my photography was oriented toward an artistic approach, using vivid colors and in a constant search of symmetry. This was a direct result of inspiration taken from cinematography and various favourite directors over the years.
Over time my focus evolved and in an effort to convey art with a purpose, I shifted toward documentary photography & photojournalism, as a form that combines visual storytelling and objective reality.
Over the last years I have documented various social events, protests, civil organizations, urbex and life in some of the remotest areas of the country. In the meantime I constantly aim to reflect how Tirana’s urban and cultural past continues to coexist with its evolving present.
